The 2023 Bicycle Ride sponsored by the Douglasville Police Department is happening on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Douglasville Police Department, 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA. 30135. The registration fee is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt. Registration deadline is March 13. Registrants after March 13 may not receive a t-shirt/correct size due to availability, so get registered beforehand. Check-in time is 7:00 a.m. and the ride will depart promptly at 8:00 a.m.
This is a rain or shine event, so no refunds. AGES 18 & UP – 30+ MILES – FREE T-SHIRT
After the ride is over, stay for our Annual Spring Festival & Safety Expo

The Bracelet bar is a hands-on “Experience” that includes a palette of Declarations in bead form, promoting emotional wellness. There are over 30 Declarations. Participants will decide on their declarations, assemble and intentionally live out chosen declarations as a personal commitment to living a harmonious life. Through the process of creating your adornments, you will dream of your future, and later wear your mantras! The Declaration Bracelet Bar is a tangible reminder to be the best version of yourself, an EXPERIENCE for personal and professional development. The Declaration Bracelet bar is for both adults and youth, with collections for all ages available. All beads are handmade using polymer clay. All supplies included.

Spring Break Arts Camp Starts! @ Boundary Waters

The goal of Spring Break Arts Camp is to encourage and reveal the talents of every student to highlight the impact the arts have on young children in developing their creative skills, social interactions, and cultural awareness.

During the Spring Break Arts Camp, artists will work with each student on specific projects within their discipline that reflect and expand on a common theme addressed by all the teachers. The four main art forms that will be explored are 3-D art, 2-D art, Theater, and Music. The camp concludes with a Celebration of Success, in order for families to enjoy a final performance and debut of all of the work the campers work toward throughout the week.

This month we have 5 artists showing us their vision of their beloved pets. From Elephants to dogs and cats, to lizards and snakes, there are animals for all!

On April 8th we will be holding a Reception and mini party!

On Saturday, April 15, the Douglasville Police Department will be holding our Spring Community Yard Sale. We invite you to repurpose your old items and find new treasures. Spaces will be a 12×12 grass area. You can request to be next to someone on the application (this person must fill out their own form). This event is RAIN or SHINE and will be held outside on our front lawn. Contact Sgt. Dean for an application or if you have any questions. Registration fee is $25, and an application must be completed and sent in, no spaces will be sold the day of the event.
Please make all inquiries reference this event prior to April 4. We will not have a waiting list, nor will we take names after the cut-off date due to time constraints.

Do you have old or expired medications? Douglasville Police Department has partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration, DC Water & Sewer Authority, DC Safe Kids, and Premier Drugstore during the DEA Pill Take Back Day to help you clean out those medicine cabinets.
This will occur on April 22 between 10:00am and 2:00pm. No questions asked, no forms or ID required. All medications accepted.
You can leave your medications in the original containers or empty them into a sealed plastic bag.
NO sharps or inhalers will be taken at this event, just medications.
Absolutely no medications are to be dropped off to the police department before or after the scheduled event times.

Douglasville Police Department is having a Town Hall Meeting at the Police Department Community Room located at 2083 Fairburn Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135.
Our topics have changed from Domestic Violence and Crimes Against Persons due to recent events that have occurred in our county and other areas.
Our new topics are Active Shooter, Use of Force, and things being done to address youth violence.
Let’s all work together in our communities to become more involved and keep our neighborhoods safe.
Light refreshments will be served.
